Ratajkowski’s aim with her podcast is to take back her narrative.
Some of the topics EmRata discusses with her guests include the history of how men treat women and how women rationalize that treatment.
I’m really excited to get a lot of different types of people on – really just people who interest me who I feel like either haven’t been given a platform where they’ve been taken seriously and been able to have the kind of conversations that I want to have with them, or just people who have very specific perspectives,’ she told Forbes earlier this year.
EmRata was in the process of flushing out her podcast while she was getting a divorce – which gave her a fresh perspective on what she wanted to talk about and accomplish with it.

‘I feel like I’m in this new era of my life,’ she said. ‘I’m able to talk about sex and dating in a way that I definitely wouldn’t have as a married woman.’
‘Being able to talk and speak to things directly, rather than have the media control the narrative around my life, is the way that I tend to use the platforms,’ she said of how she navigates her very public life and the constant paparazzi attention.
And despite her busy life as a working model, mom and podcast host, there’s still more she’d like to do.
‘There are a lot of things I’d love to do,’ she told Forbes. ‘I want to direct, I want to maybe try my hand at writing a script – definitely trying to write fiction but I think that for the moment, I have enough on my plate.’
