A happy ginger cat with one nostril is thrilled that her holiday wish has finally been granted.
Two cute kittens communicate with each other through a combination of purrs and meows.
In early December, Tara Kay, the founder of The Odd Cat Sanctuary in Salem, Massachusetts, received a call about a cat in need of rescue. The cat had only one nostril, and a local shelter reached out to Tara for help. The shelter didn’t have the resources to care for the 3-year-old female cat, who had been found as a stray.
After learning that the cat was discovered on a construction site among rocks and sand, Tara immediately agreed to take her in. “I found out she was found on a construction site in a pile of rocks and sand. They asked if I could take her. I said, of course I would.”
The Unique Cat Haven
A special feline with a rare chromosome abnormality and a single nostril has joined our sanctuary. She has a loud sniff and her eyes wander in different directions.
The new ginger addition at our cat haven just arrived a few days ago, and she’s already a purring machine.
The Quirky Feline Haven
Following some investigation, she made herself comfortable in her new home. They named her Toast and soon found out about her affection for chin rubs.
Despite her unique traits, she is content, lively, incredibly curious, and possesses a strong personality.
The Odd Cat Sanctuary
“When you pet her, she purrs instantly, and she head-butts and just wants to be loved,” Tara explained. “She is really small, only weighing about five pounds.”
Toast has truly flourished in the warmth of a caring home. She craves attention and shows the most adorable quirks when she’s playing.
The Strange Feline Haven
“She tilts her head back and forth when she focuses on something. It’s so cute,” Tara shared with Love Meow.
“She’s just like any regular cat, extremely curious and enjoys chin scratches.”
The Unique Feline Haven
Meet Toast, a kitty born with an additional chromosome who never lets anything hinder her spirit. She now calls The Unique Feline Haven her home, where she will receive lifelong care and love. Check out this adorable video of Toast!
